make sure you lagg the pipes that run through the car, or you will get loads of new tatoos on ure arms n legs :) some rall x lads used to put rads in the boot with fans etc etc, you can put scoops and ducts from ure rear side windows through the back seat with success too :) sorry i dont have any pics though alex, i will go through my albums :)

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

i'd use as the boot floor in effect if i was doing it.

You may be able to scoop up through it from the floor then out through vents in the bootlid.

I have seen it done both the ways Iain and my first turbo suggest. The problem with Iain's suggestion is getting the air from under the car to want to travel through the rad at all. Needs so well considered ducting and a draw through fan on the rad. Exhaust ports need to be well considred too so they are positioned such that they are effective.

My main question would have to be why in the boot???

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

Alex I tried this some time ago with inconclusive results.
Rad in the boot with outlet through boot lid, Air came in through two scoops below front sub frame crossmember and up through boot floor. Ali pipes front to rear un-lagged. Cooling was improved but not by much. Was it worth it? Not sure.
Points to bear in mind as I am sure you know
1) rad outlet must be same or greater than rad area
2) Ali mesh can obstruct up to 50+% if covering the outlet
3) Electric water pump should improve circulation over the standard item.
I think a lot of the cooling on my attempt at a rear mounted rad came from the unlaggeg front to rear pipes and the extra volume of water in the system.
Depending what you want to use the car for I would think long and hard if all the hassle is worth it.
Regards
Dave

If it's a nessessary then you'll have to come up with a suitable solution. There is a hillclimb mini around that runs a rad in the boot, it has massive rear arches with ducts in.

the only advantage I can see is weight distribution, but all the extra water needed would just add weight.

Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

Its not a case of "it would be nice" its more a case of to run the size IC I want, as there is no room at all for a rad in the nose, theres little choice!!

But it all fits in a standard front end doesn't it??? LOL.

Ok - how about a chargecooler. Strikes me this is an ideal candidate if ever i saw one?

ahhh, are you still using the kkk turbo on it?

courtney do tubular manifolds so you can run a regular turbo on it, this may give you more space?

there was/may still be pics on that v8mini site of his rear boot installation
