I'm new to this whole turbo scene but am hoping to start a turbo build in the next couple of months. I saw an advert in mini magazine for "Turbo 1405cc engine, TWR pistons, kent cam, new turbo ported and polished head..."etc and was just wondering if this would be any good as a starting block, the main reason im asking is because i haven't seen very many turbo engines that are that cc, most seem to be 1275, 1293 or 1310...... can anyone see anything wrong with this as a starting point?
thanks for any help.
Tom

The idea of needing more CC's goes out the window when you have a turbo...

Theres no subsitute for BOOST!

it could be o.k but you will probably get more power form a smaller cc because the boost on something like what you described should only be around 7psi max.
i think thats right anyway

i think i'll just wait then, and try and get my hands on a complete mg metro, if one turns up. if i do manage to get one then you can expect to see a lot more of me, annoying you with a load of stupid questions.
