I'm in need of the 2 nuts that lock the track rod ends onto the steering rack, mine are seized onto my old rack good and proper. Or if anyone knows the thread that'd be just as handy. going to try min-its tomorrow but thought i'd ask here first.

Cheers, Nick :)

unfortunatly it depends on the track rod end as some new ones i purchased the other year had a different thread to the old mini ones. I belive they are the longer ones that minisapres are selling? m10 *1.25 are the new ones AFAIK, if you have these gimme a shout and i'll double check/send you through a couple in the post as i have a pile somewhere.

I've seen the future and tbh its Pie

already tried the blowtorch tom, its just made em worse...plus ones rounded off now anyway.

andeh it's the locking nut thats on the sterering rack itself, that locks the track rod end in place. i know they changed the thread on the swivel pin on the rod ends.

Bugger. I don't know what thread they are off the top of my head. Have you tried a balljoint nut (7/16" UNF) to see if that threads onto the track rod properly?

Take a selection of spanners and see which open ended one fits the diameter of the threaded part best. That will give us a clue.

I've got an old rack in the garage if you don't find any at Min-Its.

Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe.
