I've been having a nose on ebay for bits for the next project and I came across one chap selling new sparco steering wheels for a fraction of what the normally cost and I was wandering it it's just too good to be true? What do you guys think?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...:MEWA:IT&ih=007

EDIT: Changed the link to the correct one.

read the description -- quote

# "JET Spoon Sports 320mm 6 bolt steering" wheel with titanium core.
# Heavy duty titanium finished interior with Sparco horn button

not an actual sparco steering wheel just an unknown make with a printed sparco centre.

so it is to good to be true lol

JET is known, they do lots of stuff for jap motors, Hondas primarily.

Spoon Sports are also know for tunning kit on jap motors.

Unlikely to be both though.....

I think the guy should change his add to like Jet / Spoon Sport / Sparco.

To be fair IMO a wheel is a wheel is a wheel. So long as it is comfortable to hold and stiff enough not to flex (anybody remember Astraila [SP?] wheels that you could make oval with bare hands ..... usually whilst hoping crappy drum brakes would stop you before the back end of the Jag infront did ....)

I would want to see one before handing over the wedge but would have no problems bolting one on to my car. Paid £30 for a second hand, but mint, Sparco wheel recently so at £25 they are a bargin if ok!!!

I personally think that we all are too quick to pay over the odds for a badge when there is no difference in quality or use......

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

First mini turbo to get in the 12's & site perv

Herefordshire

my mate bought a very similar steering wheel to this off the bay a year or so ago, theyre shite to be honest it flexes when you push on it, and the dimpled leather is glued on which splits and peels back

basically its a crud generic steering wheel that they put stickers on

Nic,

if you have experience that suggests they aren't up to much then fair play .... Sound a bit like the Astriali wheels of old ...LOL

As I said you'd want to see one before stumping up the money....

In this case it looks like you do get what you pay for .... still not always the case though ....

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

Cheers guys, whilst I like a bargain, I think I'll say clear of these.
