Hey guys. As a guy who is getting close to needing a map for my megajolt set-up, I think it would be sweet if there was a thread solely for maps. ie, a thread where you list your mods and upload your map as an attachment.

I know that on other forums I view (evolutionm.net for example) there is a place to post up AEM EMS and other standalone engine management system maps. This would be extremely helpful for those of us lower on the learning curve.

Ideally you would want to give each individual subject it's own thread, right? While the maps are related to the MJ install, they are a completely different topic alltogether.

I know for a guy like me, understanding how to program the system is not difficult. But knowing what numbers to put in each box and the reasoning behind it is not entirely clear. If I could see a map for a car similar to my set up, I would know where to start. There's no use reinventing the wheel everytime someone buys a megajolt around here. And it would cut down on multiple threads asking about MJ maps...which is already occurring.

To get it full size you need to remove the word "thumbs" from the image location, hopefully you should be able to see what I did to get it full size if you hit the quote button.

I have no idea what the map is, it's the same one which Carl posted, earlier in this thread, I just enlarge the picture so that people can read it.

i must be dumb cause i do not really understand it all yet.
i take it the engine load is the boost pressure in KPA am i right?????

and the figures are the timing advance and obviously as the boost rises you want a lesser amount of boost am i right???
i have not got mine all hooked up yet but it is close, the other thing i am warroed about is the 3D looking page not sure what to do there, any tips???

Red;

KPa (kilo-Pascals) is a measure of absolute pressure. 100 being atmospheric, less means a vacum, more means boost.

The figures in the boxes are indeed ignition advance angle. As a rule of thumb you need about 1 deg less per every 1psi of boost compared to a NA motor. That should keep you safe until you can get it mapped on an RR.

The 3D charts are there to help visualise the table. Some sad muppets like me can see patterns in numbers but most people find it easy to look at a graphical representation. Normally if there are big peaks or holes it's a mistake....

Hope that helps
