currently using a AP racing CP2599-4 plate, like this

With new grey cover and release bearing, steel ultralight and billet back plate.
Every time I try pulling away gently i.e less than 3000 rpm I get a large Eaarpp noise. If I let it out at 4000rpm I leave a lot of rubber.
Strange thing is it has been in and out a few times now and don't make the noise for a day or so after fitting.

Any ideas as I would like to venture into town sometimes, but getting stuck in traffic ould be a bit :$

Like this one,

www.minispares.com/Product.aspx?pid=35698

also the sintered plate could be why my primary bushes dont last long, too much heat transfer

i've never tried your plate but it could be the primary gear bush fretting on the crank. mine did and it screached like mad when slipping the clutch to pull away. i put a bit of grease on the crank and all is well now.

I had another incident with noise once on my car...

The strangest chirping noise Id ever heard.

Turned out the bolts that hold the crank flange to the cover werent as tight as they could be....

it could be the bush, but i still say that noise is normal with that types of plate, i use them and when i had silencers i could hear mine too,
