I have recently got my mini shell back from getting the body work done and the turbo box welded into place. I now notice the turbo box has replaced where the choke and heater cables used to pass through the bulk head.

Do i drill into the turbo box for the cables to pass through in a straight line from where they are posistion on the dash or will they foul the turbo? and do i have have to run them some other way?

Thanks for looking

Daniel

personally i would not run em past the turbo box, but to either side of it, keeps em away from the heat and will prevent any jamming or crimping....but thats just me :) did you fit the subframe ok ?

yeah subframe went in fine, just a shame the rear wasnt as easy with the minispares adjustable camber brackets miles out of shape.

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

As richi says
i would keep the cables coming out as near as practical to the original place
by re drilling

forget the turbo bulk head box position you mentioned

I like nice quiet girly Minis

Try to put the minimum bend (certainly not kinked at all) and most direct route. Should be ok. Also try to kepp it away from anything it can catch on or that can damage the cable itslef.

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...
