Some of you out there have pretty mean machines by the sound of it ..
AM interested to know
in the early days when you all had standard set ups, mebe just a bleed valve but no other mods

What 1/4 times were achived ?
What 0-60 times were achived ?

I ask cos I am sticking to standard set up ; and just a bleed valve and 13" rims to start and am wondering what to expect

once all is up and running then Intercooler, Lower compression bigger valves, roller rockers, gas flowed head and RR tune all to come !!

Never ran a standard turbo lump, my first was 1275cc,mg metro cam,lowered CR to 8.5 to 1 and ran 8psi with a home done head, it ran mid 15's.That engine lasted for years!

at avon park last year my beast of a 1275 cooper ran a steaming 19sec 1/4 mile. such amazing power. only managed to beat a 998 the whole day. :)

should be a bit better this year though.

on std set up you`d be very very lucky to break 15sec 1/4.to get to sub 14 you need lots.....as far as i know there is only 2 people on here and about 5 in total who have run sub 14 .

Everyone knows that instructions only have to be read if the thing doesn't work....
