Never ran a standard turbo lump, my first was 1275cc,mg metro cam,lowered CR to 8.5 to 1 and ran 8psi with a home done head, it ran mid 15's.That engine lasted for years! On 21st Jan, 2011 fastcarl said:

at avon park last year my beast of a 1275 cooper ran a steaming 19sec 1/4 mile. such amazing power. only managed to beat a 998 the whole day. :)

on std set up you`d be very very lucky to break 15sec 1/4.to get to sub 14 you need lots.....as far as i know there is only 2 people on here and about 5 in total who have run sub 14 . Everyone knows that instructions only have to be read if the thing doesn't work....

Mark, i fell very very lucky if i break the 15 sec 1/4! LOL Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph
