has anyone used a PDA with megajolt?

i have been looking at sat nav and looking at the pros and cons of using a pda instead of tom-tom/navman etc.. and wonderd if you could use megajolt software on one as long as it has a usb/serial port?
also has anyone else had any problems using the usb to serial lead? it could be another problem with jimmys but it would always crash if we tried to use the run time feature... but would up date the map ok..

Both myself & Carl are using USB to serial adaptors (the really cheap Chinese ones off eBay) however I must add the disclaimer that I'm still in the process of fitting it in my Mini, but it works fine on the bench.
