I was after BMC green, ended up with Kawasaki green. Lol

The thing is, you cant see what colour the block is because there's so much other shite in the way. :)

The green is a standard gloss paint from homebase! Benross swares by it, *wink* so Ive gone with it and I got the colour mixed up.

I cant remember the exact name...I'll have a look later and let you know!

I get the paint from Moss. EP3 is the more paler green, EP3A is the nice strong green that every fast engine should be.

They sell it in tins or rattle-can. The rattle cans cover very well, and will do two full engines and transmissions.

It's only as good as what's on the underside though, so de-rust and de-grime the compnents you want the paint to actually stick to, apply a thin 'dusting' and leave to dry for a few hours, then set to it.

Job's a goodun.

ps - don't forget all the best engines are green....

Yes Ric gloss, its great!!! I've used red Crown on several engines and found it to be better than a few "engine laquer".
The tin arrived today, nice green, and a reasonably priced £12.49 to my doorstep!!

Near Daventry, midlands

the por15 paint is good i've tried it, the stuff from moss is shite (tins), i've tried it.

best by far is homebase radiator paint (1), get it mixed up in any colour and it doesnt chip. infact its so good im gonne go get some at the weekend.

the por15 (2) comes a close second

common 2pack (3) in a rattle can come way over anything else with engine paint/enamel written on the tin as they are all shite, take a lot of covering and chip very easily...

This is what i've found from using all of the above paints and more.

i cant echo what dave said enough, if you dont de-grease and de-rust you may aswell not bother.

Its a direct ratio for green paint and power;

Green paint (10ml) = power (1bhp)
