The missus has been at work all weekend so has left me with the whole weekend free, so I've locked myself in the workshop and been beavering away all weekend!!

Looking good, I'm a few days behind you...! Stripped subframes and dirty bits ready to clean then fit new bushes etc

I swear I was a magpie in a former life!!!!! I cant help but give bits a polish or paint!! This is the second mini I have built from scratch, the first was intentionly for concours / show use, and this one was meant to be built on a strict budget but is going along the same lines as the first. NOT A GOOD SIGN!

Been back at again tonight, beam axle arrived today (damaged, but thats another storie, bloody hudersfileld...) managed to get radius arms back together, with brakes, just need to fit the split pins for the bearings and slip the drums on, PROGRESS AT LAST!!

Now for the engine!! Shane. You need to make some brackets to support the other end of the stub axle. Std diameter pins will not last long with coil overs - I speak from experience when I had a pin let go (shear) on the M25 a number of years ago and had to get recovered. Turbo shed, its my works workshop, we've got loads of space, heating and tea making facilites (and no nagging missus!!), what more could you want, its the tits!!!
