finally i'm getting it sorted..

well the story goes like this; back in may 06 my gearbox went very wrong, so with thanks to turbo hogster that got sorted out, but in the mean time i also decided to sort out the front end bodywork due to the dredded rust, so i stripped it down and cut the front off and its stayed at that same stage since.
although i did buy a two piece fibreglass front and a new scuttle that have just sat in the boxes.
anyway over xmas i decided that i really should get a move on with it, so yesterday i called up the bodyshop to get a quote to fit/paint the scuttle, and amazingly they came and collected it later that afternoon...and they hope to have it back to me by friday.
heres a before and after picture when i removed the front end.

if they have it back by friday that will be some rapid progress!!

That will be a quick turn around, why do people leave projects for so long. I did this with my land rover project and thats still not finished and now ive started my mini project.

i've got it back! it came back on monday and i'm well pleased with it...i can start fitting the front end now!

made some more progress in the past few weeks, i've got the engine back in and its up and running..!
started fitting up the new front end, at first i thought it was going to be a really bad fit but after a bit more time it seems its going to be a nice fit..
heres a pic of the front end trial fitted.

it cost me £290, i supplied the scuttle and they had to do the closing panels because they were pretty rotten. i also had the extra wiper holes welded over.
