Definetly selfish. LOL

It was the only show remotely close to me aswell, it was a nice change of scenery from POD.

The main advantage is the strip I suppose.

Wow - is this going to be the 'new' showdown, that'll make BMC pull their finger out maybe?

:( Too far for that type of show for me.

Too noisey as well with the strip next door .... I liked the piece of MITP.

Oh well, just hope it is better than the rubbish efforts resulting in moving it before (Silverstone 04 anybody !!!)

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

MITP worked because of its location.... IMO it made the show.

the bit i didnt like about avon was if you wasnt racing there was bugger all to look at.

at least they will be plenty of trade stands and auto juble to browse round and if you broke something you could proberly get the part you needed to get you racing again aslong as it wasnt terminal.

but i know what you mean about the location as cornbury park is a nice location and yes siverstone was a crap event but give a chance and see what happens.

i recon it would give the event a good edge on a lot of the other shows.

That's a shame, and it's hardly a park either! Avon is for racing, mitp is for looking at cars and buying shiney bits.

To be honest i think this is what mitp needs its been poor for years in my opinion loads of stands selling cheap crap and the same cars that you have seen at the earlier shows, at least you will be able to see the so called fast cars in action, as well as been able to pick up some jumble. That is if there isnt stupid long time waiting to get on the strip like last years santapod events!!

good for me too - much closer than Oxford - just got my pod info through the post this morning though and it didn't mention any "rwyb" action - the other car shows like retro all say rwyb - hopefully it will be strip action as well as the static stuff.

If Carling made Mini engines
it would probably be like this one!

i know what you mean, but rwyb means its open to all and sundry but hopefully it says sprint but this could just mean 0-60 but hopefully the pod will be open but its still closer for me so i dont care lol.

What other BIG shows are there? We have a stripe event with Avon and a track event with Combe! What is ther ein the summer for those of us that just like to look at cars and buy some bits?

The BMC shows were so poor the last time I went (about 4 years ago) that I vowed never to go again.....

MITP was almost like a pilgrimage for me!!!

never been to mitp so really i suppose i shudnt comment BUT surely itll be the same show i.e loads of cars on display all the usual trade stands but with the extra addition ofthe drag strip. and as for location you cant please every one.

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

Well I missed 2006 as I was racing that day (as I will be this year too now) and in previous years it's been fine.
