Spotted a crack near the o/s top shock mount. Will the car fail its MOT on this?

Depends on how picky he is. By rights he should fail it as it's close to a shock mount.

dunno, its not structural, but it is close to what could be considered a 'suspension mount'?

I doubt very much that an MOT tester would notice it as it will be covered mostly by the shock absorber. BUT, if he does see it, it will fail as it is a structural defect in the vicinity of a suspension mounting point.
I seriously doubt it! |

Mine failed yesterday for a hole in the same area but I welded it up last night it should be ok for a retest early next week.

Run a weld up it like everyone else has said kid. Shouldnt be too hard! 1/4 Mile 14.3secs 96Mph Terminal 10psi of boost.

Paul yeah its within 30cm of a structure zone (the shock mount) however a quick wix would be to fill it and spray under seal over it (what he cant see he cant test) or seem weld it up bud :)

If it's not there they can't test it ....... if it is there they can fail you on it.
