I recently priced a 6m length of 1" diam 1.5mm wall stainless tubing from a local supplier and they wanted near £90 !!!! Im assuming the price of stainless has went up a lot recently. I think tha last 2.5 and 3" 6m lengths I bought were circa £60 or so each. I also had to pay about £120 for a 15kg roll of 316 mig wire early last summer, which wasnt cheap !!!! 9.85 @ 145mph

Im now thinking the £90 was for 3 lengths... I now think that was for 3, so it would be £30 for a 6m length. I bought 3 lengths of 1" alu tubing on friday, and they had told me it would be £30, I assumed this was per length. Now either the guy cocked up, or it was genuine, but I did ask if this price was correct. I paid £26 for 3 x 5m lengths of 25mm diam x 1.6mm wall alu tubing.... Cant be bad at that !! 9.85 @ 145mph
