is it the lack o threads, i'm going for a stab in the dark with that, could they just be fitted to the rear du to tat, if thats the prob, i've never looked a compatition cones so not sure of the real differances

It could have at least been mentioned in the description.

Ganted they could be fitted on the back.

I think I'm right in saying that if your mini was lowered, yoiu could easilly (safely) machine another few mm off the bottom of your hi-los, which would allow the unit to be shortened sufficiently to fit without a compressor?

Yep had to do that to mine at the weekend, i took 8mm off on a lathe and they went in no problem, alternatively just take the top arm off and fit everything in one go :)
