spotted an mpi tank cheap, i know they got fuel return pipe but is the fuel pump built into the tank? if so does it produce enough psi?

Steve, The SPi tank is man enough, so the MPi will be.

I'm after an MPi pump for a different project - if it is a genuine MPi one, would you do a swap?

Dave, jukka says that the injection SPi tanks only produce 1 bar. Not too sure if thats true but its something i will keep an eye on.

im bit skint at mo, so im not buying it till end of month so if i manage to get it and.....
the psi is the same then i dont have a problem with that, waz jukka saying about the psi !

I understood the Rover SPi fuel system pressure to be 2.4-2.9bar...

Good if it is, i thought 1 bar was very low, dont see many injection systems running those sorts of pressures, usually all 2bar + i thought.

Soon find out when i get mine connected up! Shouldnt be that long, next few weeks or so.

I wouldn't have thought that you'd get good fuel atomisation at the injector from such a low pressure...

I do have an SPi metro... If i find a suitable gauge, i will measure the pressure

I've ran mine at 15 psi'ish boost with my spi tank and pump with no prob's *smiley*

Never known Jukka to be wrong though - which is why i think i'll do the test to see what the SPi system actually works at...
