Choosing car colour?

Ive got a bargain paint job sorted out but Ive only got three weeks to finish the preping and choose a colour!

At the moment its Old English white, and I want to keep it that kind of shade but a bit creamier. As far as I know theres a few different Paint codes for OEW and was wondering if anyone knows which is which?

The other option was go for pepper white (new mini) or the new VW Beetle white, what do you recon?

i love the colour that it is matt. I thought the paint was really good on it, does it need doing again?

I like the colour, but I think it would look better a little more cream!

Yea its got loads of scratches on the front wings from the rush prep job last time, and to sort my arches out i need to weld up the old holes to reposition them correctly (put more of an arc in them), hopefully then they'll stay on! Lol

80 Quid plus paint in 2 pack, can't turn it down really! Booked for the 24th of Feb!

Wow that's really cheap! I'm in the process of building a website for my last paintjob!

Definitely keep it white/cream. I was going to go for white, but my car was red from the factory, so the engine bay, interior etc was already red.

are you staying with black roof and black arches? I love that look.

And yeah, for that price it's a total no brainer. i'm guessing you're doing all the prep at that price?

Yes sticking with the black roof any arches. Me and Paul are doing the prep at his work, we'll have use of orbital sanders, ramps etc this time..makes things a whole lot quicker/easier.

rover OEW is quite nice & creamy, thats what colour my reverse rims are! stick with the blk roof & arches too! i think your colour sceem is really nice matty

thats a great price for a paint job, mine needs doing but it'll have to wait i think, paint chips & scratches a plenty on mine & alot of bad paint due to the granny i bought it from not washing bird poo off :)

you have snowberry white, thats a more creamy original colour.

Just checked on the tin its paint code is NNX Old Englsh White.

I'll check that snowberry white though.

Have a look here .... I know PC's display looks how you like it to rather than being any sort of standard but it at least allows you to compare one to the other ....

you can pop along to a paint shop and ask to see their whites (ooh err)

thats how i chose my blue for my old car

old english white with a almost slight gray shade added, seen it on a e port monster in miniworld a while ago was fitted with gold 10 inch minilites and had a full rally theme interior it looked very swish

Right took my bonnet into a paint shop, none of the colours matched, so god knows, im guessing mine has faded alot!

After embarrising having to go into a VDub garage and asking "can I have a brochure on the new beetle" (in the most mascaline voice possible) ive found the colour. :)

snowberry white is a lovely creamy white. i had my reverse rims painted this colour and a friemd had his MGB this colour
