Have you enabled the wireless function of the router?

If all else fails try downloading and reinstalling the driver for your wireless card. I had this problem with my mums laptop. it worked fine while i was stealing my neighbours internet, but then i went to uni. I come back a few years later and get our wireless set up, try to search for it on the laptop and nothing. It said the wireless card was working fine and the wireless router was working for sure. Downloaded and reinstalled the driver and bingo, plus it found 2 other unprotected wireless networks Edited by AL on 30th Jan, 2007. |

You have to access the router by typing in the ip address. Should be in your manual. |

There is no manual, just an installation disk. I went through this twice to set it up.
I seriously doubt it! |

I've had a play with a similar setup supplied by talktalk where the config disk was only designed to work with the router and usb thingy supplied.

To look at router settings just type speedtouch into the address bar and it should get you to the settings if your connected through an ethernet. I had a speedtouch 580 wireless and that always got me there.

If i remember correctly to get mine working i enabled wireless network connection, then went into Network connections, right clicked on wireless connection and into properties. Then added a connection under preffered network connections.

You dont need a desktop connected to the routher but you need to make sure the laptop has a wireless adapter and is properly configured. |

If its a new laptop paul then you dont need a card as this should already be there hidden away, have you tried going to tools, internet options, connections, lan settings and then click on automatically detect settings? |
