Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

I've been looking at getting a decent helmet sorted for my up coming years racing.

I've decided to get a Simpson helmet as i know they are a decent helmet plus they look pretty cool!

Now i've found that they are the same price in $ as in £ so obviously there are some big savings at the minute.

I've read up that they are identical helmets so there is no real issue.

Good or bad idea?

What is the current rating? Snell?

leeds/wakefield.

good idea, i think, as long as its fit for purpose an RAC scrutineer will put relevant stickers on it at its first presentation.

Don't think they have correct Snell rating - certainly not FIA if from USA be careful!

I was actually looking at the Stilo open face carbon in Demon Tweeks....

A search online seemed to suggest its discontinued now though ?? Although I think Ears have them in Blue.....I want black though.

I prefer an open face. Hate everything being so closed in when driving in-car. Easier to see and hear whats going on with open face.

9.85 @ 145mph
202mph standing mile
speed didn't kill me, but taxation probably will

This is mine. Or at least it looks like this, you don't seem to be able to get the exact model I have. I personally feel safer with a full face whether it is or not.

well i ended up with the one JF suggested after a load of looking around and decided not to bother with the states thing.

Seemed a good price including the free bag.

Ordered it last night so should be here soon hopefully.
