Can anyone tell me what head they are using on their 998 turbo projects and what work was carried out on it?

I've given bill richard's racing a call, and they seem to think im going to need sodium filled exhaust valves turned down to fit the head etc..

I've decided to get a bit of a move on with this or i'll never do it!

Stay away from the sodium valves - the heads seem to be 'falling off' an alarming number of them!!!!

the head and the steam are seperate bits of steel... machined up and then friction welded together!!!!

Std high quality valves with thick stems (no 6mm racing jobbies) should be fine.

I do use the sodium filled valves. But as has been pointed out I use a 12G940 head so it was no problem fitting them.

Otherwise the head is standard except for the chamber which has had the lobe ground out mainly to drop the CR.
