Hi guys, I've got some metro turbo seats (retrimmed in cream to match) but i kinda fancy a more sporty seat. Think i'll put a cage in to.
Thanks
Alex.

Golf seats are easy to fit ... just make up some channel for them to slide in and weld it to the floor before paint.
Weld on a bracket for the single front bolt and roberts your mothers brother!

I'm really tempted to do this on Candice's car but she has her mind made up on something else ....

I've got MX5 seats in mine.

Really narrow, easy to fit, you can still get in the back and best of all they have speakers in the headrests!!

I must wire mine up. I paid £50 from a scrappy.

My sister is so fit I won't show anyone her picture

Lake District

I have Monacos in mine. They're comfortable on your back and shoulders but you do get a numb arse as the padding is poor on the base.
I've driven for 4-5 hours in them to MITP every year since 1999, plus Avonpark, and down to cambride for RR session.
I guess the comfort level is something you get used to.

I find Cobra classics are real cumfy on long runs, plus are quite small giving a little more room inside.

I had a Corbeau leather seat in mine ( still have )

Must admit, it looked ok, but really was a piece of s***

After a few months, the base/frame of the seat itself broke.
Now whether this was due to the massive acceleration of my car *wink*, passengers in the back hanging onto my seat during acceleration, or crap construction, who knows....

Well, I do actually, I took it apart, and welded the crap out of it. Cheap crap construction did play a major role.
Still not a bad looking seat, and reasonably comfy.

I had a Sparco bucket in my first Mini, and I thought it was quite comfy. Then again, I was 17 and very stupid back then, so may not appreciate it the same now.....although it and a harness, did pretty much save me from very serious injury too.

I think it depends on the build of the individual as well as the seats. The most comfortable car seats I've ever sat in were a set of no name clubman style buckets I had in my first Mini, although they held me perfectly they did cause some embarrassment when one of my mates couldn't physically fit in them. On the other side of the coin I find anything with lumber support very uncomfortable due to the lack of natural padding in my back.

i had some sparco sprints in one of mine and usedd to drive that some fair distances.

i thought they wer fairly comfy as buckets go. they're cheap and look smart too!

Some good points there Rob. My fav bucket is the Cobra classic too .... V. comfortable but a bit ugly.

I have real problems with most seats that have shoulder support due to my very broad shoulders resting on them rather than between them.

i got MG metro seats and they are comfy. i lifted the front slightly to aid support.

my main problem with bucket seats is that there designed for race use, so about 10 hours use a year. in a road car the material rips easy and the padding saggs and you feel the frame through your bum.

get the recliners and the material is better, there designed for every day use, you can still get in the back or put stuff in the back, and there adjustable so more comfy.
