Is it possible to mount a turbo with the shaft axis vertical?
If so does it matter if it's hot side up or down?
Sorry if it's a stupid question

I think that the problem would be that the oil would not drain away correctly, but stand to be corrected.

Oil will collect in the turbo, instead of simply flowing through it without collection or restriction.
Garrett spec's say 15degrees from horizontal I recall.

Or no doubt the oil will start coming out where it shouldnt !!!
