Shropshire.

step 1. take heater
step 2. open bin
step 3. throw heather in the bin
step 4. close bin
step 5. remain safe in the knowledge that your on the way to removing more weight and become quicker at beating chavs off the lights. *smiley*

simple to do fit the water pipes, place heater in position as far back as it will go and drill two small holes under the switch panel and remount. mine looks flush and fits really well and doesnt stick out.

At the rear, i used two 1cm thick tie wraps one at each side arround the bolts on the heater and through some bolts i put through the bulkhead with big washers.

Ill get pics if you want.

When i done mine i welded the old mounting brackets to the bulk head box (heater will now be mounted further into the car) then made up a bracket that goes just above the heater controls.

ive been thinking bout this also, as im using a centre consol in mine. i was going to extend the pins on the back of the heater, drop the back down then pin it through the side of the consol.
only an idea at this point tho.

The heater is quite a lump so make sure that the sides of the console can hold the weight and that the console isn't going to move around too much in the car.

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

Weld the original brackets to the back of the bulkhead box and make up a plate that screws to where the front mountings normally go and extends forward to provide new front mouting points for the heater. Quite simple but works well enough. If you have a padded dash rail then you'll probably not see it either.
