is the 1275 gt clubman engine with the cooper s head any good for turboing?

it may b small but it purfectly formed

I really don't see why not as long as the C/R isn't to high and you don't go mad an the boost, i really can't see why not.

Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

Later blocks had the "turbo" spec bearings. Also the transfer casing on the turbo had a larger nose bearing.
As MW said though, go easy on the boost and it will be fine but all the little tricks come into play when you want to start running a lot of power.

cheers lads great help, ill buy the 1275 gt ive been offerd then, is ?150 with no carburrettas a gud price?

Not really id say!

Just pic up a late 1275 metro engine, paid ?30 for mine from a scrappy and that was an unleaded mg metro in mint condition all complete.
