Hi, before on my 1.3 engine i used my 998 flywheel housing which had a shorter arm.

On my metro turbo engine i have a long arm clutch, can i use the flywheel housing of another 998 engine that i have with a shorter arm? I got used to and preffer the clutch travel with a shorter arm clutch.

Are there any gaskets involved in the change?

din`t realise flywheel housings had arms .

The longer arms are for the older "lockheed" type clutch, the shorter arms are for the later "Verto" type.

So the flywheel housing wont be interchangeable? Id rather have it like my last setup on my 1.3 MG engine.

To avoid confusion, "flywheel housing", usually refers to the "side case" or transfer case. The turbo items are different because of the nose bearing size.

The clutch cover, the thing that looks like a "wok" is what is being refered to in this post, and they are all interchangeable, you just need to fit the correct clutch arm.

Just trying to avoid confusion :)

Oh i get you. My clutch is pretty new :( Im sure last time though we just swapped the plates over from my 998 wiht the small arm onto my 1.3 which previously had a long arm. Nevermind, ill just have to get the machanics from a non-verto.

Make sure you are using the correct release bearing. The verto and non-verto are very different.
