Ive been looking for a new T3 unit for my turbo project and came across this on ebay, just wondering if it would be suitable for my metro turbo engine which is standard at the moment.

Next year i will be getting an avonbar turbo engine so need a turbo that would be suitable for the standard engine and also a more powerfull engine when i get it.

any suggestions or comments would be good :)

looks like it needs an external wastegate for starters...plus i'd say its waaaay too big....and i've heard bad things about those cheapo import turbo's.

It's a pos chinese knockoff unit. Why anyone would make a 45-trim T3 with a 0.48AR turbine is beyone me?

I'd hate to think what a stage 1 wheel would be?

XS-Power...ss-autochrome

Im sure their reputation is already well known.

Their turbos are complete and utter shite. To put it mildly.

Do a search for SS-Autochrome on some of the forums, and see what people really think.

When buying a turbo, it really is a false economy to skimp.

fitted one of these cheap e-bay turbo's to a skyline, it managed one day of mild motorway driving (wasnt mapped) before the nut came off the shaft and the compressor wheel chewed itself to bits.

one day! and it wasnt even driven hard.

turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)
