anyone know of a good RR near Oxford?

As the title really, if all goes well should be ready for a RR sesh in the next 4 - 6 weeks, anyone know of a good RR preferably experienced with A series and Meggajolt?

Ive been recommended power engineering, but the only thing i know about them is that, nearly every Ford 'scort has one of there stickers/sunstrips on! Lo

Thats what I thought Alex, but as far as Ive seen they are Ford 'based' and alot of people do convert there Zetec's etc into carbs?

SRE mapped mine and they had never touched an omex

did a better job than the omex "dealer"

jus had look at sre site looks pretty good. was wandering matty my mini be ready in 4 to 6 weeks for the RR you can hire it out for a day i wonder if they would let us hire it out for day and we cud split the cost if that was to work out cheaper if that makes any sense. would it do you think? ?

Quite possibly would as my would require setting up from scratch, im sure they'll have plenty to tinker with! Lol

As would yours im guessing as its a comlpetely new engine build?

Let me know how your build goes, ive got my respray in 3 weeks then ive just got to put a few miles on it to iron out any probs, then i'll be up for it.

same with me a few weeks and hopefully it be together and going and then uill need run it in abit and then it b ready for the RR. do you think its worth enquiring about it and yes mine will be set up from scratch and ill need a new carb sspring jet and needle fitted for sure as they only standard at mo. will you need all them bits too or are you gonna buy fit urself b4 u go so all it needs is a tune. and ur running mega jolt too. wish mine was goin in for its respray too that another bad luck by me. the guy who had it b4 me had it spray and it was a shite job its awful its peeling off and everyfin. illl be happy to have it on road ha .and keep it their

Mine is still all the standard gubbins in the carb too, ( I was told it was jetted when I bought it, it wasn't (suprise, suprise)!!

I'll just let them sort it, at least they can determine what it needs instead of me taking a guestimate of what it needs!

Matty: Yea i no what you mean about people telling you stuff and it not being true, Ive been stitched up so much with this engine. You would have thought people would be loyal these days and honest but their not im afraid, only few are.

Yea ill leave my carb alone let the people who no what they are doing, do it.

Are you just going to set your megajolt to one figure throught the range so it can be driven and run it and let the guys do all tweeking.

I thought Stuart (Vmax) seemed a good bloke, good straight sensible answer's, i get the impression he needs a clone though!

Was that MAP you set me, for your engine with a T2, if so it may need quite a bit of tweeking?

ah yeah, a t2, 8:1CR, 16psi, phase 2 cam

I am spoilt as I live close enough to push a car to mech repairs in Cheltenham (www.rollingroad.co.uk). They have always been good to me, although he doesn't half moan about SU's he seems to have the gift for them!
