right chaps i took my block to the machine shop & the chap has had a look & says the deck needs a very minimal skim, a kiss was hs words! hmm strange!

Have you prices up a set of rings compared to a set of new pistons? A set of megapistons is not silly money. I think for peace of mind I would got for a +20 rebore and a set of megas. This way you know it will last. http://www.twin-turbo.co.uk

thats one of main thoughts for this engine build its just that i was suprised that the chaps 1st thought was it only needs a re-hone, it really is'nt in bad condition & the lip is'nt much, i'm sort of convincing myself to re-hone & at most fit new pistons

if your going for new pistons a rebore is virtullay nothing extra!!
