Sorry 4 caps locks. Would it be expensive to fit an rsturbo engine into a mini ?? or any other small powerfull engine ??, what would you be able to put into a mini with most power and least hassle ??? thanks very much 4 any/all help i recieve.

9 valves, 4 wheel drive, 3 cylinders, 1 turbo, which got nicked

i would say unless you were an expert welder and engineer it would be pretty expensive to do it. i would probably say the least hassle approch would be an a series of some description. maybe vtec or vauxhall converstion could be an idea
id go for a series turbo *tongue*

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

if your going for a different engine then i'd personally go for a VTEC conversion, then you can bolt a turbo onto that pretty much. not sure how much room there'd be mind, but probably easier than an RS turbo install as the stuff is tried and tested for the VTEC conversion.

VTEC conversions seem to be getting more and more popular, as do the Vauxhalls. Both will give good power with reliability.....
But remember "It's not a Mini without an A-Series" !

RST has been done before, but the engine was in the back as I recall.

Most power and least hassle are not compatable words when it comes to mini's *wink*

But I would say a well built 1380 non turbo mini is as close as you can get the power / hassle ratio to balance. IMO
