I like nice quiet girly Minis

Cheltenham, Gloucestershire

Basically it is a cut and shut Mini unit. A rod goes from the front of the selector housing under it to the back of the car and then attaches to the normal position.

IIRC the "steady bar" is attached to the back of the selector housing to a bracket that bolts onto the front of the engine (with the bolts that hold the gearbox on)

Whole thing is a little low to the ground for my liking though. Could be done a bit better with a little though ..... maybe make a cable change up...

Hope you can picture what I mean.

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

i'm thinking of building a cheapo go-cart type type thing with 2 front mini subframes & make a sort of ladder chassis to join the 2 together, the engine would be in the rear subby, it would just be a toy really to pee about on, i'll have to go to a show with a god turnout of gtms unless i find pics on the net of the linkage, i think it could be quite a quick thing, it would be super low & the really wide wheels/tyres

its only the gearlinkage thats the bug in the soup, i'm just doing a little pencil drawing of my idea

Hope farstcarl dosen't mind me posting this pic of his car,

carl has removed the reverse gear and extended the linkage out the front of the box and joined it up with the front rod change, a very neat solution if you have the resources to do it.

As roger says. However for a full answer with probably some pictures check out the GTM forum. (this forum is impossible to find on google, it turns out)
