In the garage......again!!

Done the search and can't find what i need.
I am currently bidding on a MG camshaft on fleebay, what i need to know is how do i identify it as a genuine MG camshaft? also, which cam does the standard metro turbo motor use and which would be the better of the two MG or metty turbo cam?.
thanks in advance

Swindon

MG metro turbo cam is just a normal 1275 cam

MG metro normal cam has a square edged groove turned in it between 2 of the lobes

I was always of the belief and indeed the Yellow book said, that the MG metro cam had no markings whatsoever.

the only way I had got some years ago, was to get a complete engine from a known MG Metro car. I certainly never noticed any markings on them way back then ??

According to this, i have an MG metro cam in my metty turbo, it has the 1/4 groove in the tail. can anyone elaborate? I am bidding on one on ebay but need to be sure its a MG one not a standard metro cam.

Ignore the above post, its me being a dunce. I thought the picture was the horizontal groove. its the one ground into the shaft after number 1 lobe that identifies a MG metro cam.
