Stupid question I know, Its a filter king, is it just a filter, or is it a fuel pressure regulator? or both? If its just a filter, is it ok to use for my turbo build? I had it given to me by a mates dad last year when they moved and was clearing out their shed, I dont know too much about them, a little light shed on them appreciated.

Filterking is both. Not sure if they read boost or work at high enough pressures though. My mate had one for his chevette using a facet red top pump and it squirted fuel out everywhere.

No good for Turbo use.
It has a filter element in the bowl at the bottom.
The pressure is adjusted by slackening the nut at the top and adjusting the threaded rod in or out.
Suitable for carb use only (low pressure only)
Flog it on ebay, should do up to £30 if it,s clean.

Dave

Should work fine with a red top, its what i used on my old 1380 with no probs.

Its not fit for use with a turbo set up as it is not boost sensitive, it supplies a *constant* fuel pressure (should be set to around 2 or 3 psi on a na set up, well for a weber anyway), on a turbo set up, as soon as boost goes anywhere near, or over the 2 or 3 psi (or whatever its set to), there will be no fuel flow into the carb.

Yeh thats what we thought, both were brand new but we just couldnt stop it pissing out the top seal. In the end he bought an r1 pump (cos he was using r1 carbs) which regulates itself.

But yeh flog the thing on the bay, should get a few quids.
