I stripped an engine I had kicking about today, and found it to have a brand new Kent 256 cam in it.. (Mild road/ turbo according to minisport)

I was planning to use a Avonbar phase 2 cam, but as I've got this one already, wondered if its any good for my turbo build?

Anyone had good results with it?

Thanks
Sam

Its not going to be a daily driver, so I just want a decent amount of power really.

Would this cam be suitable for an engine at about 150ish bananas? I've got all the other bits and pieces to make it happen, nice MBE head etc..

you should have had a race head off me for half the price ...anyway!

150 bhp hmmmm! go for a kent 266 or a phase 2 cam the last option woukld be the best bet

many would argue but ... the choice is yours

do a search on cams

Thanks benross, I'll give it some thought.

The head was very cheap as it came with an engine I bought, which was pretty lucky as they do cost lots from MBE. Wouldn't of bought one otherwise... *wink*

I'd bin it. Its exhaust duration is pretty small, even compared to the MG Metro (Kent 500 cam).
