For the BMW K Head engine im building im looking at using lightweight pistons , preferably bike ones?

i've seen bike pistons used before, i think they were Honda CBR 600 with valve cut outs

KAD use 73mm Bike pistons on special rods for engines they do now I think! On 5th Sep, 2011 Vegard said:

it strikes me that theres a lot of 73mm bike pistions sround, all multiply into 1000cc, 250s and 750, but you will need a much longer rod, the pistons iv'e come a cross are 2 ring type and look like a real goer for lightweight install, its just the expence of a pucka set of custom rods to match the two.

What is your plan for these? Is it just to try and get light pistons to aid a high revving engine? Every day is a school day ...........

yeah its for trying to make the engine rev higher and easier, worth a shot i think |

Try to get something which has no valve cut outs or something that lines up ok .... don't want it to be butchered too much. Every day is a school day ...........

the one's i saw were on mini rods. speak to OZ at OAP (ozbourne automotive preperation) |
