There's been a few posts like this in the past, but now I'm in a 'wondering what to do' type mood. Work is busy, and it's only going to get busier with a big software project implementation in Oct 08, plus I am finding it increasingly difficult to drag myself down to the garage away from my 4 month old daughter :)

I'm into far too much, that's the problem. I've been looking at 3 series as well :) We'll still have my wifes Sportpack mini, but I was thinking for a track car it might be better to start with something that has more power as standard than a tuned mini, with the added bonus of it being a complete and running car lol! |

306 rallye are a fun track car, hold they're value too and you'd easily get one for what you'd get for the mini bits and more!!

i had a 306 rallye and they are good. but you need rear wheel drive for ultimate fun on a track. still recon a starion turbo or even the RX7

Its a serious offer Neil.....if we get cracking now then you can have something to go and have some fun in this summer. I can't afford to do anything to my own cars at the moment so I may as well have something to get my teeth into.

id say either take tom up on his offer or sell them and get a good car for track days youve still got a mini for the mini scene if you go to any other shows etc no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

The problem starts when you take on too many projects. When your working on one never buy any classifieds and keep clear of autotrader until it's done! I have the mini which still isn't turboed yet and won't be until I graduate and get a real job, then the Aussie Holden I got when I was 14 (12 years on and still hasn't got paint on it) and I toy with the idea of getting a 67 Camaro plus have a gaggle of nitro RC cars. I faff about between them all and seem to get nothing done. Must be worse if you have a wife and sprogs. On 7th Nov, 2008 Nic said:
