First mini turbo to get in the 12's & site perv

all of the mods apart from the head and winding out the boost will require taking the engine out and apart

save your pennies, and get a rebuilt engine with a 1293 rebore, cam, sccr gearbox

why do you want forged pistons? i imagine cast ones will be fine and save you lots of money

you can always bolt the head on when its all in place in the future.

why should i get a rebuilt unit?
that costs the earth and i want to use what i got
whats wrong with that?
i thought forged pistons were better for turbos as theyre stronger though im prolly mistaken

well if your going to get it rebored, new pistons, new cam, new gearbox, new head, youll then be putting in a new oil pump as its the sensible thing to do, youll also be changing the cam bearings and hopefully gears, all gaskets so in effect you will have rebuilt the engine,

cast pistons will be fine, ive used them at 18psi

also a sorta pie in the sky question
if the intercooler hoses are quite long will it diminish the effictiveness of the cooler?
