Due to an ongoing blue smoke problem, I decided to strip down the engine and examine the bores. There are some light vertical scratches (can be felt with a finger-nail) on a couple of the cylinders on the thrust side. Is it worth trying to get rid of these by honing, or will a rebore be required. Any advice?? (I have already renewed the valve guides etc). |

Go ask your engineer to measure it and give thier oppinion if it will clean up with a hone or not.
