You can buy a pair of idler conversion bearings from Minispares to allow this to be done.

Tom just had a look on the Minispares site and they are £120 "IDLER GEAR CONVERSION A PLUS STRAIGHT CUT" Is that right? |

It is a pair of these if you have an A+ Gearbox Casing and A+ Clutch Housing. They allow you to fit the pre A+ drops with the smaller bearing journal.
