Hi all, am i correct in saying that if a standard mini ignition system is ballasted there would be a white and pink wire comming from the coil terminal??

just checking as mine is just white and i want to run the 12v feed for the megajolt from it and i know that it needs to be constant.

or should i be using an alternative power feed?

White should be permanent live from memory. Im sure others will confirm

I think you've got it right, ballasted is white with pink tracer and white alone is ignition live.

On mine i used a power feed straight from the fuse box so i could tape the coil connections back into the loom incase i ever wanted to/needed to convert back to dizzy.

Ye, was just one bad connection that i missed. As soon as i sorted that my trigger wheel came loose though so there was lots of head scratching over two very minor problems.
