so somthing like that would be good to use on a thermostat to cool the turbo down after engine is turned off, if you were to use a T2 that is?
a bit like when the electric fans keep going once the engine is off etc?

Jimbo has used the Renault one and had problems with it not flowing enough - he now uses a (similar in appearance) Corley unit - which is very effective.

i'm interested in this idea, what are the pumps from etc & if used as the main pump, i presume i could make a plate that bolts to where the pump used to mount with a pipe to attach hosing that would go to a lecy pump, what sort of water movement is needed & how can i get it to run on for about a minute or so after the motor is utrned off

I'm still to be convinced of the benefits of an external electric pump for my applications ...... somebody convince me ...... :)

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

Roger, i think the main benefits are consitent flow whatever the RPM. i.e. a nice water flow at idle plus the water flow can still keeping going after it has been turned off.

Only downside i can see is if it fails. Being a mechy i trust a mechanical pump more than an electrical one.

i might fit one so that it only works on a timmer or somthing once the engine is turned of, as it should get the turbo even cooler, after letting the oil run through it for a while after you leave it running to cool down (if that makes sence??)
would that work do you think?

cheers
