clearly you are!

dont forget you bought these a year ago, i personally think its well out of order that firstly you refuse a refund back when you bought them then wait a year and put a thread up to show the pistons in there current state

realistally these pistons could have been in 3 engines in a year could have been stored poorly ect ect

a year on is far far to late to be putting posts up like this and your only making yourself look bad imho

Ok, I'll explain more,

When I bought these from Jim, I didn't really know much about motors, wasn't too sure about the chips and scoring and stuff and asked him if they would be ok. He said if I filed down the sharp bits etc they would be fine and they are perfectly useable. He also gave me a drink too which was nice.

They have been sitting on my desk ever since, (as the top picture).. as I simply haven't had time to build the engine. Thats the 100% truth, properly stored in the warm.

They have been there until recently I decided its time to build, and cleaned them up. Noticed one was different (nice), and also a uncovered more marks which were covered from being coked up. Now I know more about engines and stuff I know that they are pretty crap, especially for the money.

An engineer had a look at them and wasn't too happy with them..

But as I haven't got the cash I'm just gunna chuck them in..

Sam.... honestly they are not too bad, you should have seen the set i got off ebay, sprocket seen them and they are terrible. Ill fish them out of the garage tomorrow and post some pics. For a budget build id put them in no problems, just make sure the cc is right.

At the end of the day, they look ok to me. If you want to be that fussy about pistons, don't buy them second hand.

this is when I should say they were advertised as being like new having only done 600 miles or something,,,

anyway enough of that, its history now, from now on I'm not going to trust anyone and only buy new

Sam, the other pistons is an omega, and is cast in the bottom of the piston. The dished was machined by Steve at MED, he told me it was a 10cc dish.

As anyone who know's me will know, what I use my car for, and know that my car is far from a daily driver.

When I posted the pistons to you there where no chips in them. I offered you a refund 11 months ago, and until last week heard nothing from you. Too much time has past now to give you a refund, I have no idea what you have done to these pistons in the 11 months, and shitty PM's to me will not help!

At the end of the day, I did offer a full refund which you did not take me up on!

In the 11 months I have done nothing, except clean them last week. BTW if the chips weren't there when you sent them, why didn't you contact the royal mail? I specifically paid extra for insurance!

This could go on for ages, but I can't be arsed. I'm not going to argue on a pissing internet site.

Your a scamming fuck and thats the end of it.

i am sure your post would have stayed if the facts were correct

bottom line is sam is kicking himslf for not accepting Jims refund, then blaming jim for his own mistake in not accepting refund, he had ample time to sort this out, after all if the pistons are damaged now they would have been in the same state a year ago

a year is far to long to start on this shit

All i will say on this, is, why dont you burette the pistons and actualy measure them before spouting that they are different. As i dont know what happened 11 months ago, as i was not a member on here, its realy not my place to comment about what was or wasnt. Its no good measuring them now as your are pissed about the whole thing and by your previous comments i doubt anyone would trust your word.

11 months is a bit long to be pissy about it, fit the pistons, build the engine and have fun.

In the short time I have known Jimster, I have found him to be one of the most genuine guys around. If he offered you a refund and you didnt take it, thats your problem. Like I said, fit the pistons, build the engine and get on with your life. Those are far from the worst pistons ive seen!

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

If you keep them for a month, I'll buy them for you at the price you paid - they look OK to me, perhaps not mint, but they'll certainly work. Mine are simply modified metro jobbies, and didnt look much nicer than that, and they work fine.
