I am currently in the process of talking to a supply of Genuine Garrett T3 rebuild kits and negotiating a price for a bulk buy.

sounds good to me! i dont want one but i supply them as and when i have time although mine arent genuine, they are the ones TT use etc.

Just got off the phone with the supplier and it looks like the final price will be £48 delivered for the T3 Kit.

What is the most common type of seal for the T2 turbos "Carbon Seal" or the "Dynamic Seal" ?????

Most people use an R5 GtT T2 (phase 2 is the most popular) so what ever is in there. Not had a T2 apart so not sure .. Every day is a school day ...........

Its the same kit for all of the T2 range, the carbon seal kit is used for cars running carbs, the Dynamic seal kit is used for injection.

I thought that the carbon seal was the most common. But end of the day i bet the T2 i'm using is dynamic but most people will be using carbon. |

Yeah iain the carbon seal kit is the most common for the T2 so most turbos should be using this kit but looking around most people just sell the one kit and dont say which seal is in the kit

i may need a rebuild kit for a escort rs turbo turbo can you get them or are they the same kit? no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

i thought theyd be the same. i might want one then ill have to strip the turbo first to check the shaft and housings before i commit myself first as theres no point in buying a kit if turbos scrap. no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

Kevin, can you get the balancing done?, or would you rely on just marking the compressor wheel to the turbine shaft when you disassemble the turbo. |

A VSR is a very expensive bit of kit but I'm sure it would soon pay for itself. |
