I am currently in the process of talking to a supply of Genuine Garrett T3 rebuild kits and negotiating a price for a bulk buy.

Basically just seeing if there would be any interest from members for these kits.

At the moment it looks like they will be about £50 delivered

if your interested then let me know on this post

cheers
Kevin

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

sounds good to me! i dont want one but i supply them as and when i have time although mine arent genuine, they are the ones TT use etc.

Unfortunately i dont have the time very often *frown*

You should also look out the T2 range as well as they will probably be more popular.

How about Kits for the GT series?

as from another thread the SAAB GT17 turbo looks a good option for the A series.

Most people use an R5 GtT T2 (phase 2 is the most popular) so what ever is in there. Not had a T2 apart so not sure ..

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

Its the same kit for all of the T2 range, the carbon seal kit is used for cars running carbs, the Dynamic seal kit is used for injection.

I thought that the carbon seal was the most common. But end of the day i bet the T2 i'm using is dynamic but most people will be using carbon.

Yeah iain the carbon seal kit is the most common for the T2 so most turbos should be using this kit but looking around most people just sell the one kit and dont say which seal is in the kit *oh well*

Anyway i have the choice of kits so at the moment the following are available

Garrett T3 Rebuild kit delivered - £48
Garrett T2 Rebuild kit delivered Carbon Seal £63 delivered
Garrett T2 Rebuild kit delivered Dynamic Seal £63 delivered

i thought theyd be the same. i might want one then ill have to strip the turbo first to check the shaft and housings before i commit myself first as theres no point in buying a kit if turbos scrap.

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

Kevin, can you get the balancing done?, or would you rely on just marking the compressor wheel to the turbine shaft when you disassemble the turbo.

A VSR is a very expensive bit of kit but I'm sure it would soon pay for itself.
