i just read the "show us yours top?c, so you are running hot?,
i think it's your water temp, and so you would want to alter timing to give less temp going thru the cylinder bores, the timing is genereally set at 7 ? btdc vaccum disconnected, but Ifound that vaccum isn't acting at idling , becauqe the hole is drilled a little afetr part throtle, going higher si possible if you are using a really low cr, but high as 14? is a lot too much , the ebst is a dist curved to suit your application, the top a mapped ignition .
about cooling, isn't your rad unhappy with your 138 wheel bhps, so I would start to decrease the boost before the problem is solved, hot mean in lighter level ring tension loose and at worth detonation up to destruction , a turbo engine is best when water temp is kept under 90?.

Paul, the only way is to get it to a rolling road. If you tell them you want maybe more 'midrange' than peak power (or vice versa) they will usually work to what you ask...

Timing really is something that you shouldn't mess about with on a turbo car... It's all very well for Joe Bloggs to tell you to do this or that, but he isn't going to give you a penny if you melt a piston, or cook your head gasket... Be very wary of 'bar-room' experts, and those that reckon they can set a turbo car up without the aid of a rolling road.
