bit of help. Got myself a one litre metro engine today with 32000 miles on it (been in a shed for the past 10 year i was told and speedo said that.) hoping to turbo it. i also go a carb and plenum, of ebay. if i use the 12g940 head will that lower my cr enough. will be using a low blow turbo of a vauxhall diesel clutch mounted. will not be running a very high psi. i know i'll need other bits and bobs .will this be possible ????????

I'm stupid Ive A fiesta with most of the bits to make my megajolt thingy. Thick or what!!!! OHHHHH and ive got a metro for free !!!!! Metros have become rare over here!!!!!!!!!

Hi
If its std, the 12g940 will have just over 21cc chambers, on a 998 running flat top pistons this will give a relatively high cr for turbo use.

also with a 940, its usually necessary to pocket the block to gain valve clearance.

The 940 head has got the smallest combustion chambers if all factory cylinder heads.

joeybaby try to get a 12g295 head or speak to mr benross on here to sort your 940's chambers, there are ways you can pocket the block without a machine shop but time, being very careful & patiant is the key with a dremal!!! can be done though!
