So true.

the mini is the only car I know that if you drive over a coin, you know if it was heads or tails!!

They can be a really comfortable drive and they can be stiff enough to shake your teeth out.

If you change the doughnuts regualrly (5 years or less), don't have it too low and use road biased shocks like the KYB gas-adjust then it'll drive like a majic carpet. If you use old stiff cones, Spax short shocks and get it sitting on it's bump stops it'll have all your teeth on the carpet before you leave the drive way!!!

It all depends what you want.

For my better halfs cars it's getting KYBs, new doughnuts and a good fwe inches of travel.

My car is on coil overs with silly springs because It's a track biased road car.

My turbo ran less travel than ant's winky, AVO's (never, ever again) for shocks and some of the first doughnut replacement springs (harsh). Will run Coil overs when she is reborn though.

Pay's your money and take's your choice.

What do you want the car to be, daily driver or track weapon?????

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

Roger has it spot on really. For my daily driver I use the KYBs, and they are a fantastic compromise. My car is pretty low too, as low as you'd want on a road car anyway.

The hillclimber on the other hand is stiff as a board.

Yep, I agree with roger too,

I have also heard that the cones on the sportspacks deteriorate quite quick, ie real smoothe when new but after only a couple of years they get real hard.

thats just hearsay though and may not be true... Anyone?

Mine is really hard on Gaz adjustables, lowered on hi-lows, with poly bushes all round and solid mounted subframes.

To say that it's a bit hard for road use would be an understatement. The back feels like there is no suspension at all!

But my neighbors Sportspack is very comfortable in it's standard form.

Saying that, The last go-kart that I was in seemed soft compared with my mini!

In the 13's at last!.. Just
