Dynamo to Alternator Conversion

Hello you lot ..... Long time no speak and all that !

I want to get rid of my Dynamo on my Mk1 ( A Series not A+ )
I am happy about doing the wiring changes and modifying the regulator box but I am not to sure on what alternator to use..

I could go for the early alternator and buy a bracket to fit it to my A Series ;

But I see on the later minis they used a different Alternator that sits much higher up and I believe has quite a high output ..

Has anyone ever fitted one of these to an A Series ?
If so ; are there commercially available brackets and belts or will I need to fabricate something

I know minispares do a bracket to convert as I bought one for a couple of quid.

Im currently using a Daewoo Matiz alternator 65A with a 100mm diameter, uses the same profile belt as a mini, you just have to file a bit off the alternator bracket and water pump to align pulleys, and use a longer bottom bracket.

Oh and make sure you get the plug with the alternator!
