that is one impossible to answer question, without knowing you oil temperature... |

Well i had a 10 row one on mu mini. but was wandering if to put a 13 row. wouldnt it make it run bit cooler ? or just stick with the 10 which is the same one i had ? im not that clued up about it. thanks :) |

Only way to tell is measure the temp of the oil as has been suggested. Oil can be too cold as well as too hot. |

As above, if it was running too hot with the 10 row, get a larger one, unlikely though tbh. "Turbo's make torque, and torque makes fun"

Temps were good. do you think i should get a new 10 row, or keep my old 10 row ? as someone said get a new one, as its been on there for 7 years.. or he talking billy bull lol

You should change it if you have had an engine failure,as they collect bits of metal that no amount of washing out will remove.So always change it as a matter of cause when you rebuild an engine

Im not rebuilding it. so i guess ill be ok :) just cleaning the engine, repainting. new bit and bobs, water pump, new cam belt, seals etc etc :) so when finished, should look all new :)expensive hobbie though. but well worth it. as i say, live your life as you like it. :) and i like me minis. as well as women's of course |

Yup, do without defo for running in. you'll never get the oil up to temp going steady.

it all is down to how you drive weather you need one or not, i do sprint type driving and not flat out for any time driving, so i don't need or run an oil cooler. Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph
