Having just purchased a lathe/mill to make some parts, I'm a bit bewildered by the milling cutter collet systems available.

There's ER, 5C and Pozi-Lock at least.

The ER seems that most common, Pozi-lock the cheapest and 5C the most complicated.

I'm tempted to use the ER32s.

Anyone have any experience of these?

All help appreciated.

How big is the Mill and what size cutters are you planning on using.

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

It's a Chester Centurian 500 Lathe/Milling Machine. I'm planning on using 6, 10 or 16mm shank cutters.
