Feebs, there are a couple of guys from your way going on this living in huddersfield. Last year a guy from ponte took a mk1.

I will definately be going, though. As for you being at the front.... we'll see about that.

Jackman do you want to tell him about the incident with the Belgian police or shall i??

See you there if you can keep up.

Well after letting all the other groups have a hour headstart on the way back to the port, we set off.

In the convoy there were 4 cars me leading, miniturbonutter behind me, big v, and pudds at the back averaging 80 plus compared to 50 of the other convoys.

we were about 20k from the border with france when i got cut up by a silver megane, this annoyed me somewhat so i returned the favour.

we then entered some roadworks and were down to one lane, cue weaving in and out of cones.

we could hear a siren sound, but assummed this was on the cd we had it. i then noticed the blue lights.

we pulled over once out of the road works. the undercover copper in the silver megane the proceeded to shout in belgian at my passenger.

" sorry mate we dont speak belgian"

cue shouting in french

"sorry mate we dont speak french"

Copper " you are fucking mental what is wrong with you?"

Me "Erm sorry?"

Off he walks with a galic strop it is at this point we notice the gun in his back pocket and brown ourselves.

we left el rapido.

*** i do not condone my behaviour, it hasn't happened since and nor will it again. guns are scary ***

I thought adac picked you up if you broke down on the ring. If your a member then you gotta make sure you ask for an adac lorry and make it clear you are a member. Thats what i heard. Last year i went in my mates xe'd corsa cos my car was not ready (and wont be this year *frown* ) and on the way back to our campsite on our last day his cv decided to break in half along with the hub (not going mad, driving back nice and slow, v lucky it didnt happen on the ring tbh). Oh dear we thought, thats a special part and we are meant to be leaving in about 14 hours. Luckily he had european breakdown cover on his insurance. They paid for me and him to fly back to gatwick, paid for us to get to the airport too (koln i think), and had the car shipped back to his house in about 2weeks. If i remember correctly the flight for us was 300euros alone plus about 100 for the cab to the airport, dread to think what the cost of shipping the car back was. But all it cost was £40 on his insurance for european breakdown cover. If i remember correctly he was with HIC.

Yeah i'm with HIC to but worht getting the ADAC as it covers removal from the ring.

Its just the danger money to the driver of the truck and the closeure money to the track you have to worry about.....
